Overview
Treating cancer with precision, while protecting your day-to-day life
Chemotherapy remains one of the most powerful tools in cancer treatment, used alone or alongside surgery and radiation to eliminate cancer cells, shrink tumours before surgery, or reduce the risk of recurrence afterward. The right regimen depends on cancer type, stage, and the patient’s overall health — decided individually rather than applied as a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Treatment begins with a detailed review of diagnosis, staging, and prior treatment, followed by selection of a chemotherapy protocol matched to the specific cancer and its biology. Regimens may be given before surgery (neoadjuvant) to shrink tumours, after surgery (adjuvant) to reduce recurrence risk, or as the primary treatment for advanced disease. Throughout treatment, blood counts, organ function, and side effects are closely monitored, with supportive medications used to manage nausea, fatigue, and other effects so patients can continue daily life with as little disruption as possible.
Because chemotherapy is often one part of a larger treatment plan, every case is discussed within a multidisciplinary tumour board — medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology working together to sequence treatments in the way that offers the best outcome.
What We Offer
Chemotherapy Services
A complete range of chemotherapy protocols, matched to cancer type, stage, and treatment goals.
Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy given before surgery to shrink tumours, improve operability, and assess how well the cancer responds to treatment.
Adjuvant Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy given after surgery to eliminate remaining microscopic disease and reduce the risk of cancer returning.
Combination Chemotherapy Regimens
Carefully sequenced combinations of chemotherapy drugs, selected to maximise effectiveness against specific cancer types.
Targeted Chemotherapy Protocols
Regimens combining conventional chemotherapy with targeted agents for cancers with specific molecular markers.
Palliative Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy aimed at controlling advanced or metastatic disease, relieving symptoms, and improving quality of life.
Day-Care Chemotherapy
Outpatient infusion delivered in a comfortable, monitored setting, allowing most patients to return home the same day.
Supportive & Symptom Management
Proactive management of nausea, fatigue, low blood counts, and other side effects to keep patients as comfortable as possible.
Port-a-Cath & Vascular Access
Placement and management of central venous access devices for patients requiring extended or repeated chemotherapy cycles.
Chemotherapy Education & Counselling
One-on-one sessions before starting treatment to explain the regimen, expected side effects, and self-care measures — helping patients and families feel prepared.
Our Approach
The Chemotherapy Advantage
Effective treatment and protected quality of life, planned together from the start.
A clear, supported path from first consultation through to long‑term follow‑up.
Protocol Matched to Your Cancer
Regimen selection is based on cancer type, stage, and biology — not a standard template applied to every patient.
Close Monitoring Throughout Treatment
Regular blood work and clinical review track response and catch side effects early, allowing prompt dose or protocol adjustments.
Proactive Side-Effect Management
Supportive medications and care planning aim to keep nausea, fatigue, and other effects manageable throughout treatment.
Multidisciplinary, Whole-Person Care
Medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology coordinate to sequence chemotherapy within your complete treatment plan.
Hair loss depends on the specific drugs used — some regimens cause it, others don’t. Your oncologist will explain what to expect with your specific protocol before treatment begins.
This varies by cancer type and regimen, typically ranging from a few months to about six months, given in cycles with rest periods in between.
Most chemotherapy is given in a day-care setting, allowing patients to go home the same day. Some intensive regimens may require a short inpatient stay.
Many patients continue working, adjusted around treatment days and how they feel. This is discussed individually based on your regimen and job demands.
Supportive medications and dose adjustments are available to manage side effects, and you’ll have direct access to the care team throughout treatment.
